Renewable energy, from the PV module to the seabed

The client

Panduit makes the electrical balance of system for renewable energy: the cable management, grounding, connectors, protection and identification that OEMs and EPCs build into solar fields, wind farms, EV infrastructure and battery storage.

The challenge

These are small parts on very large sites. A cable tie or a grounding lug disappears in a photograph of a solar field, and a subsea cable protector can’t be photographed in place at all. Each application needed to show both scales at once: the site, and exactly where the part sits in it. And the four had to look like one programme, not four separate projects.

Approach

Each application was built as a complete 3D site from Panduit’s product CAD. Every film follows the same move, from an establishing shot of the site down into the installed part, then opens the part up to show how it works. Stills for the web pages come from the same scenes, and one lighting and grading setup across all four keeps them consistent side by side.
